If there is one thing that I would want you to know about me it is that I love books. Books have shaped who I am and how I think about the world. Books truly are magical. They have a ability to transport the reader to a whole new world. Literature is a large part of why I chose to be an English major. I would love nothing more than to build a career out reading and teaching books. Well, that and teaching English to non-English speakers. For me, it is about the excitement of being able to teach a new language. I love learning languages. The ability to be able to speak with other people from around the world without having to use a translator app is extremely appealing to me. Not only that, but English is a very widely spoken language right now and can help students from all over the world get ahead. After my graduation I plan on joining the Peace Corps to pursue teaching English in countries that have asked for aid. Travelling and teaching are my life goals and I fully plan to do everything in my power to make that happen.
